HUACHUMA

SACRED MEDICINE CEREMONY

Huachuma

Huachuma/San Pedro (Trichocereus/ Echinopsis pachanoi) is a tall, columnar species of cactus native to the Andes Mountains of South America, and the name of the entheogenic and medicinal brew into which it is made.

Huachuma’s medicinal/shamanic usage within Peru has been dated as far back as 2200 B.C.E. Of all it’s beneficial and psychoactive alkaloids, Mescaline is the most prominent and best studied. The medicine used in my healing ceremonies near Tarapoto and in the mountains with my friend Joey Greenstone and WachumAwaken is a unique process which takes up to 7 days, drawing upon years of shamanic study and practice, and the guidance of Spirit.

Huachuma is a potent medicine and spiritual tool that, when used in conjunction with the appropriate shamanic healing techniques in ceremony, can help individuals effect significant change and growth in their lives.

I offer custom, one-on-one and small group retreats here in Tarapoto, Peru as well as wonderful 10-Day retreats in the Sacred Valley of the Inca outside of Cusco, Peru.

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.” –  John Muir
